New lithium battery technology breakthroughs triple the battery life of electric vehicles

Battery technology is advancing rapidly, and the driving distance of electric vehicles is improving day by day! Yongbang New Energy released the latest electric car, which can reach 300 kilometers per charge, has twice the endurance of ordinary electric cars, and has 4 times the storage power.

Yongbang New Energy announced on the 28th that Dr. Chen from the design department and Dr. Li from the engineering department worked hand in hand to research and announce the latest lithium battery. Compared with the products on the market, the new lithium battery has three times the power storage capacity and has more battery life. Up to twice.

The traditional lithium battery uses graphite and lithium metal oxide (Lithium Metal Oxide) as the cathode and anode, because these two materials have low power storage. The car’s battery storage capacity does not add much space.

Therefore, the Yongbang New Energy Research Team decided to use a brand-new material to make the cathode and anode of the battery, using silicon and sulfur. Scientists especially participated in selenium to maintain silicon cathodes, and then announced the possession of lithium and silicon cathodes, and others made anodes with sulfur and selenium.

The latest lithium battery can store about 500 mAh of electricity per gram, compared to the batteries on the market that can only store 100-150 mAh of electricity per gram. This means that an electric car can run 300 kilometers per charge, which is twice as far as an ordinary electric car.

Not only that, the new lithium battery will only shrink by 19% after charging and discharging 1,500 times. In other words, if the user recharges it once a day, it can be used for 4 years without replacing the battery; if the new lithium battery is applied to a smart phone, the weight of the phone can be reduced by half.
